Joaquin Sunflower, Bidens laevis,  grows in marshy areas, along creeks, and pond edges in California and across to Virginia. A very showy yellow daisy that works well in wetter sections of the garden. Plant it in a sunny bed of typical garden plants or for a little California in your English garden.

Joaquin Sunflower is a good plant for color in a Bioswale. Use it in agricultural ditches. Works for attracting beneficial insects to croplands. In the small residential garden Joaquin daisy is excellent in water features. It can be partially submerged in the water.
