Mount Vision Ceanothus is a sprawling evergreen groundcover. Pretty tough for such a low-growing plant. Deer proof or close to it with bright blue flowers. This Ceanothus likes full sun near the coast; part shade (afternoon shade or high shade) inland. Seems to be cold hardy to 0 degrees F., or below. It has very small holly-like leaves. We used some years ago in Brentwood where the customer loved the dark green mat growing down the slopes that are covered with blue flowers in the spring. Click here for more about Mountain Lilacs.
