The pink form of California fuchsia grows in part-shade in most areas, full shade in the interior heat, full sun in cool summer areas. To make it simple, full sun and regular water in San Diego, LA and San Francisco; part shade and regular water in Riverside, Paso Robles, Redding and Livermore; full shade and regular water in Palm Spring and Ridgecrest.

Mix Pink California Fuchsia with Achillea, Erigeron 'Wayne Roderick', Erigeron 'Cape Sebastian', Penstemon labrosus, the yellow or blue eyed grass  and Heuchera hirsutissima, for a watered  path border to the door. It's also a good transition from the lawn you fill the need for. The pink form of California Fuchsia is also used by the hummingbirds.

This was given to us by a customer decades ago, we're not sure if it is one of the named ones like 'Solidarity Pink', now the Zauschneria has been changed to Epilobium canum, (for the moment).
