Yucca schidigera, Mojave Yucca is a 5ft tall plant with tall spires of cream colored flowers. Mojave Yucca is native plant from Baja California to Nevada. Jaeger says it is the most common yucca of the desert area. It needs sun, perfect drainage and no summer water. An interesting plant as it moves into chaparral and coastal sage scrub areas(most noteworthy is in the Torrey pine forest).

Yucca schidigera tolerates seaside conditions and sand.
