This honeysuckle is native on the Santa margarita nursery site in part shade to cool full sun. Never on hot southern slopes, mostly east facing slopes. - grid24_24
A sprawling, deciduous shrub with yellow honeysuckle flowers. Native from central and northern California mountains. It likes full sun to shade, dry conditions. Great on banks. It has edible berry but bitter.Seems to be deer proof. Hummingbird flower. Native on the nursery site. LAS 9, Source: eastern San Luis Obispo County, California, August 1, 1996. vining shrub, fls yellow, oak woodland/chaparral, part shade, corolla glabrous, growing with Quercus agrifolia, Ribes indecorum, usually in shade.Honeysuckles?
