Dunn's lobelia and Blue Lobelia.

1Gal Container (Up to 0)
Blue Lobelia, Lobelia dunnii serrata, is a pretty little perennial with lots of little blue flowers. The plant stays low, around a foot tall. It grows in wet spots in Southern California. Use as a small scale groundcover in among rocks where there is moisture. Good for sun or part-shade. Our mother plants have survived here for years with total neglect in wet and then dry conditions. Every year, when the weather turns to winter, it dies to the ground, to come back each spring. Great butterfly plant. Adult butterflies, large and small, love to sip nectar from the flowers.

Lobelia dunnii var. serrata tolerates sand, clay and seasonal flooding.
Lobelia dunnii var. serrata is great for a butterfly garden.
Foliage of Lobelia dunnii var. serrata is stressdeciduous.
Flower of Lobelia dunnii var. serrata has color blue.
