Button Brittlebush grows in dry washes and mesas in the deserts of California and Arizona. Flowers are not showy, but the butterflies seem to like them. They smell like a freshly mowed lawn in a deep pine forest; noticeable from many meters away. Tolerates gardens well and makes an interesting addition to a desert-style garden. Make your neighbors put their nose into the air trying to figure out where the great smell is coming from, and make some butterflies happy. Hard to describe how green and lush this plant is in the desert.
