Nootka Rose looks (and acts) like a native Sweet-Bier or Eglantine Rose. This wild rose is native from Northern California to Alaska and Montana growing in moist spots, meadow edges, edges of freshwater marshes, north slopes, etc.. Great for a wildlife garden. Nootka Rose petals are pink and flowers have a delicate fragrance.

Rosa nutkana tolerates sand, clay, no drainage and seasonal flooding.
Rosa nutkana is great for a bird garden.
