Haplopappus linearifolius

Narrowleaf Goldenbush.

We are not selling this product. This page is for informational purposes only.
Narrowleaf Goldenbush is a perennial, 3 ft., with yellow flowers 1 inch across, March- May, growing throughout California, Utah, and Arizona. Does best in full sun, is drought tolerant, needs good drainage, and is cold tolerant to at least 10 F. Not a favorite of the deer, and they usually don't eat these. We are beginning to grow a form from Mojave that grows only to 2' with dark green foliage on a more compact plant. This is one of those plants that can be stunning in its range with no care whatsoever. Plants occurring nearby are Cucurbita foetidissima, Atriplex canescens, Chaenactis spp., Encelia actoni, Forestiera neomexicana, and Prunus andersonii, an arroyo area of joshua tree woodland. (Syn. Ericameria linearifolia, Stenotopsis linearifolia)
