Beach Strawberry or Sand Strawberry, Fragaria chiloensis is a spreading perennial, with white flowers, emerging from March to August, followed by edible red fruits. Beach Strawberry is a good ground cover for sun, garden water, in coastal areas and part shade inland. Native to coastal bluffs and sand dunes in California. Cold tolerant to at least 5 deg.F.
