Native from southern California to Baja. Palo Verde has yellow flowers in 1" clusters, an open structure with small leaflets that appear only with moisture that make it a light screen for desert borders. C. microphyllum is not very cold tolerant, succumbs at 20 degrees F. Syn: Parkinsonia microphylla



Foliage of Cercidium microphyllum has color silver and is deciduous.
Flower of Cercidium microphyllum has color white.
Fruit of Cercidium microphyllum is edible.
