It was hardy to 0 f. here planted in an unprotected site .This one seems to be a different animal than the straight species. We were rather disgusted with Artemisia pycnocephala and had discontinued it as it looked bad and kept freezing out here every winter.(Even in protected spots next to the house.)Davids Choice has stayed nice through two summers in full sun with once/week water and made it through our cold fine with no burn. The plants are a dense tight mound 3-inch high and 2ft across of delicate, soft grey. It has done well in the San Joaquin Valley. I would expect it to do well in much of the East. People that like grey run to this one.
