Pycnanthemum californicum

Pycnanthemum californicum, Mountain Mint is a fragrant perennial herb with dense clusters of small, white flowers (with lavender spots). It has very nice looking shiny gray foliage. In the garden Mountain Mint would be happy near a water source, such as a bird bath, and grows best in part shade. Plant this herb in an area too wet for Yerba Buena (Satureja douglasii). Soft and sweet, ain't that neat! Be the first on your block, street, town, county, state to plant one!

Pycnanthemum californicum tolerates sand, clay, seasonal flooding, high traffic(people walking on it) and deer.
