Grindelia stricta venulosa (or pachyphylla) is a coastal bluff plant from the bay area. Coastal Groundcover Gum Plant is a great plant to mix with Baccharis Pigeon Point and Penstemon Margarita BOP to cover those slopes in coastal gardens. Throw a few Ceanothus along the top of the slope or in the middle of the planting and you have a show stopper. Bluff Gum Plant, or Dwarf Gum-plant likes to be washed off every few weeks and loves a little overspray from a lawn. In windy days it gets overspray from the ocean, some of you water your lawn about as much. (Syn. Grindelia arenicola, G.a. pachyphylla, G.s. procumbens, Grindelia latifolia var. platyphylla, Grindelia latifolia)
