This little bunch grass grows along the desert edges of much of the west. It's never forms a prairie, but is in little clumps amongst the wildflowers. This needle grass tolerates desert condition to near garden conditions. Plant in a rocky area or under a boulder for it to be happy. (syn. Stipa coronata var. parishii, Achnatherum parishii, Stipa parshii}
