A silky gray shrub with blue flowers. Showy. This one grows from Lompoc to San Diego and inland to the eastern edges of the Coastal Sage Scrub(San Dimas). Fast and somewhat unstable. 'Normal life' @ 5-7 years. Use as fast filler or as a color supplement to other longer lived plants.

Lupinus longifolius tolerates sand.

Foliage of Lupinus longifolius has color green-gray and is evergreen.
Flower of Lupinus longifolius has color blue and has a fragrance.
