Fremontodendron californicum var. napensis

Napa Fremontia.

We are not selling this product. This page is for informational purposes only.
A rather small flowered, small leaved, Fremontia from the Napa Area. It is a nice looking evergreen bush with dark green foliage and yellow flowers. If it were not for the other forms being so much more showy it would be in much more demand. If you are planting a hedge in Napa this might be the plant of choice. Mix with some of the larger Ceanothus and you have a winner. Leaves are highly variable, do not get excited if containers arrive with big leaves, as the plant matures, leaves will get smaller.

Fremontodendron californicum var. napensis tolerates sand.

Foliage of Fremontodendron californicum var. napensis is evergreen.
Flower of Fremontodendron californicum var. napensis has color yellow.
