(Synonym Carex yosemitana) A medium sized sedge That grows in meadows from southern California up into northern California. This can make a lumpy-lawn like mat if it is happy. I guess I could describe it as a field of leeks tighly planted together. If you have a moist spot in a mountain setting where you need some stability and a full planting, this one may work.

Carex sartwelliana tolerates sand and seasonal flooding.

Foliage of Carex sartwelliana is stressdeciduous.
