A small droopy bunch grass that grows in small openings in the coastal sage scrub in San Luis Obispo County. Use with June Grass (Koeleria cristata), California poppies, and Field Lupine(Lupinus nanus) to create a mini meadow'. Hoovers bunch grass grows in a foot or two of sandy soil on a hard pan or rock shelf that gets very wet in winter and totally dry in summer.
