Engelmann Spruce is very similar to Colorado Blue Spruce. It grows slowly but reaches 150 feet. The Engelmann Spruce lives in northwestern California. It can tolerate lawn conditions and makes an excellent formal lawn tree. Engelmann Spruce likes part sun. The cones of the Engelmann spruce are small, one to three inches long. It has reddish-brown bark and short one inch needles.
