Indian rice grass is a one foot perennial with a delicate lace work of seed 'pods'. It looks like a bunch grass that was electrocuted. The Indians used the seed for food. Use in small grass garden or with its companions, Encelia farninosa, Creosote and Opuntia in a desert style planting. Native from just north of Mohave to Manitoba and across to Texas.
