Lilium pardalinum var. giganteum "Sunset" was supposedly developed in England from wild Lilium pardalinum. - grid24_24
As pardalinum but bigger flowers. The British have cultivar names 'Red Giant' and 'Sunset' This one tolerates sun and heat better than the straight species and is half of the height. This is listed by Bailey as a possible hybrid between L.pardalinum and L.Humboldtii.
