California Pitcher Sage is a 5-8' tall and 3-6' wide evergreen perennial or shrub with white digitalis-like flowers in April to June. Pitcher Sage is native to chaparral areas in central and southern California where it can live in most aspects and exposures. They are native in the seasonal creek, north slope, south slope, east slope, even the west slope. This perennial likes sun to part shade is drought tolerant but tolerates extra water. Cold tolerant to -5 deg. or less. A Hummingbird plant. Fairly deer proof. Needs good drainage.
