Clustered Tarweed, Deinandra fasciculata, is a late summer wildflower. It's bright yellow flowers support many pollinators through the hottest part of the summer. It's fragrant resinous leaves makes it resistant to hungry herbivores allowing it to flower and survive through blazing hot summers with no rain in the full sun. This mixed with Vinegar weed and Doveweed are the smells of summer in many areas of California.
