Cushion Buckwheat grows along the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada up into Alberta. A true rock garden type plant. Put two or three boulders together and cover with a loose mineral soil such as decomposed granite or sandy loam and plant Cushion Buckwheat in the cracks.



Foliage of Eriogonum ovalifolium has color gray and is evergreen.
Flower of Eriogonum ovalifolium has color pink.

Communities for Eriogonum ovalifolium:Northern Juniper Woodland, Pinyon-Juniper Woodland and Sagebrush Scrub.
