Hazardia squarrosus var. grindelioides

Saw toothed goldenbush, Sawtooth bristleweed and Gum plant goldenbush.

A small little sub-shrub with yellow flowers that frequents road cuts of southern California. This is one of the plants that can grow on those awful cuts. syn. Haplopappus squarrosus ssp. grindelioides, Hazardia squarrosa grindelioides

Hazardia squarrosus var. grindelioides tolerates clay and serpentine.
Hazardia squarrosus var. grindelioides is great for a butterfly garden.
