Snakeweed is a nice little subshrub or small shrub that frequents the drier areas of the west. You'll find it from Baja up into Saskatchewan and across to Texas, making a bright yellow sunny spot in open sunny spots. Native in the mountains up to about 2500 meters Use with Penstemons or dryland perennials or to add summer color to a drab cactus garden. Syn. Solidago sarothrae, Xanthocephalum sarothrae, Brachyris euthamiae, Brachyachyris euthamiae, and Gutierrezia euthamiae.
