Gutierrezia californica

California matchweed and San Joaquin snakeweed.

We are not selling this product. This page is for informational purposes only.
California matchweed is a little perennial that grows along the edges of the San Joaquin Valley. Foliage is bright green and flowers are little yellow stars. Just a little different (odd in the head) to add into the rock garden of perennials. San Joaquin snakeweed, boy that's a name that will sell plants. California matchweed has a tendency to lay on the ground like a snake. I doesn't attract snakes and it's a cute little plant. No reason to bowdlerize it.

Gutierrezia californica is great for a bird garden.
Foliage of Gutierrezia californica has color green and is stressdeciduous.
Flower of Gutierrezia californica has color yellow.
