Purple freckled milkvetch grows under the shade of oaks, junipers and slopes along the west and south side of the San Joaquin Valley. A little Locoweed that looks more like a little lupine.

Astragalus lentiginosus var. idriensis tolerates clay.
Astragalus lentiginosus var. idriensis is great for a butterfly garden.
