Pearly Everlasting is a rather weedy perennial that Painted Ladies visit. If you're old and male don't get excited, Painted Ladies are butterflies. PE has an interesting flower that looks like a small white turban on top of a green kind'a sticky sprawling perennial. You can tell how much of a native nut' a person is by how they react to this plant, WOW, you've got a PEARLY EVERLASTING!, or God, why don't you pull out that weed! Sun or part shade, drought tolerant but tolerates regular water. Laughs at fertilizer, rock, dogs, feet, and bad gardening. A good plant for master' gardeners or butterfly nuts.

Anaphalis margaritacea tolerates sand and clay.
Anaphalis margaritacea is great for a butterfly garden.
Foliage of Anaphalis margaritacea is stressdeciduous.
