Noble Fir (Abies procera) is an evergreen conifer native from northern California to Washington state that grows in full sun in its habitat and needs good drainage and regular water in a garden setting. Noble Fir grows very slowly to 90 ft. plus, and is the premium Christmas tree. Noble Fir has proven to be sensitive to our temperature ranges here in the nursery area climate as during the winter we have cold nighttime temperatures, wind, sunny, warmer days and no snow cover and during the summer we have days with temperatures of 110 degrees F. and cool 50 degree F nights This California native fir seems to need a winter dormancy period under snow cover where the winters are cold. An open, sunny area is best in the garden for this Noble Fir.

Foliage of Abies procera has color green and is evergreen.
Flower of Abies procera has color na.
