This form came (with permission) from the Forest Service camp at Mono Lake. This is a California form of a plant that is very wide ranging that grows in middle elevations in Calif. and across the U.S.. It has rippled goosefoot leaves and 1inch blue-pink tiped white flowers on 6inchstems. It looks like a fancy moderately showy garden plant. (It will attract you from 20-50 feet over to look at it.) It should grow fine in a regular perennial garden. Total plant is only a foot tall (or less). It flowers in mid-summer at our location. Debate has moved to whether it is native or not and if we should even grow it.

Erigeron philadelphicus tolerates sand and clay.

Foliage of Erigeron philadelphicus has color white and is stressdeciduous.
Flower of Erigeron philadelphicus has color white.
