Dalea fremontii

Indigo Bush is a four foot tall deciduous shrub with whitish stems and purple pea flowers. It grows in the western deserts in creosote bush scrub and Great Basin sage plant communities. As it lives in the desert it needs good drainage, dry conditions, and full sun. Mix on your sand dune with desert alyssum and maybe Salvia dorrii.

Foliage of Dalea fremontii has color green-gray and is deciduous.
Flower of Dalea fremontii has color violet.
