Clarkia amoena, or Farewell-to-spring, is an annual that grows to two feet high, with 1" to 2" pink flowers in late spring. This delicate annual grows well in sandy or clay soil and also tolerates salt spray and alkaline soil surprisingly well. Clarkia amoena will grow in full sun or part sun. Planted in drifts, it will have the greatest effect in a garden. Clarkia amoena also tolerates seaside conditions.
