Owens Rabbitbrush native to the east side of the southern Sierra and through the White Mountains into Nevada. Synonym: Hybrid -Chrysothamnus nauseosus ssp. hololeucus X Ericameria cuneata.

Chrysothamnus nauseosus var. viscosus tolerates alkaline soil and sand.

Foliage of Chrysothamnus nauseosus var. viscosus has color silver and is deciduous.
Flower of Chrysothamnus nauseosus var. viscosus has color yellow.

Communities for Chrysothamnus nauseosus var. viscosus:Alkali Sink, Creosote Bush Scrub and Pinyon-Juniper Woodland.
