Scirpus maritimus tolerates seaside conditions, alkaline soil, salt, sand, clay, no drainage and seasonal flooding.

Foliage of Scirpus maritimus has color green and is stressdeciduous.
Flower of Scirpus maritimus has color yellow.

Communities for Scirpus maritimus:Coastal Salt Marsh, Coastal Strand, Freshwater Marsh and Riparian (rivers & creeks).
