Synonym: Salix lucida ssp. lasiandra. Pacific willow has had a number of name changes and(Red willow, shining willow) but it is a suckering willow that grows in river channels from S. California to Alaska and east to the Canadian and Us Rockies. Use to stabilize a creek. Don\'t use in a yard unless you have a lot of room.
