This annual Lotus, weedy plant of roadsides, open, dry, disturbed areas, thickly branched, fixes nitrogen. CA(exc DSon), to CAN, cUS, Mex. Used for soil stabilization and forage for livestock. Larval food plant for the Afranius Dusky Wing and Acmon Blue butterflies.
