Two-toned Everlasting is a Greenish perennial that has leaves with white-woolly- grey undersides and small creamy yellow flowers, not showy. Weedy in cultivated watered areas under certain environmental conditions, food plant of the American Painted Lady butterfly. Not for formal gardens or areas that will be watered and cultivated. Only for wild areas or specifically California native gardens. Not necessary for ecological restoration as there is a high probability that this species will seed in naturally very quickly.

Gnaphalium bicolor tolerates sand and clay.

Foliage of Gnaphalium bicolor has color green-gray, is stressdeciduous and has fragrance.
Flower of Gnaphalium bicolor has color yellow.
