Acer glabrum

Mountain Maple is a small deciduous tree that is our 'Japanese Maple" that grows to 10-12 foot tall and is small enough to be included in residential landscaping. Mountain maple needs regular water and garden conditions. Grows at its best in partial shade, protected by other trees or on north wall. In coastal gardens east walls would be fine. Grows to 9000 feet (2800 meters) elevation.



Foliage of Acer glabrum turns a different color in the fall, has color red and is deciduous.
Flower of Acer glabrum has color pink.

Communities for Acer glabrum:Douglas Fir Forest and Red Fir Forest.
