A large perennial that will die to the ground under any drought stress. Use in an area of seasonal flooding or next to a pond. Flowers are large and showy. Not hardy. We lost ours to cold. (Hibicus lasiocarpus, H.moscheutos,H.lasiocarpus var. occidentalis, H.las. var californicus)

Hibiscus californica tolerates sand, no drainage and seasonal flooding.

Foliage of Hibiscus californica is deciduous.
Flower of Hibiscus californica has color pink.
