Northern Checkerspot, Creamy Checkerspot

Chlosyne palla, (Charidryas palla)

Larval plants are Asters, Goldenrod (Solidago) Rabbitbrush (Chrysothamnus) . This adult was working a buckwheat.
This checkerspot lives from Central California up into British Columbia and around and down into Colorado, missing most of Nevada. Its not much of a desert dweller.
