Below is a list of the Plant Communities (adapted from Munz with our modifications added). For those of you back east refer to our easy section to cross-reference by habitat (see habitat). We've also made very generalized reference to soils and animals. We've tried to compromise between tourist level and scientific, so both of you can enjoy California without being overwhelmed or offended.
