Vitis Roger's Red

Roger's Red Grape.

A native grape hybrid that produces rich red fall color. This grape is a hybrid between Vitis californica and Vitis vinifera. This stunning grape was originally discovered by Roger Raiche when he was at UC Botanical Garden at Berkeley. This grape is vigorous and great for covering a fence, trellis, arbor or back yard pergola. It makes great fast shade on a pergola. California grapes are good for attracting birds, especially western bluebirds. Use this form if you are looking for some fall pizzazz in your garden.
