Fiery Skipper, Hylephila phyleus

A common lawn skipper that is associated with weedy grasses including  bermuda grass. This  little  butterfly ranges from most of the United States , (but most the  south and California coast), through Mexico down into Argentina. A lawn pest in Bermuda grass lawns, sounds good doesn't it? Fiery Skipper doesn't move around much, it may spend it's entire life in your lawn area, but it still covers a huge range.
