Lazuli Bunting, Passerina amoena

Lazuli Bunting, Passerina amoena is a beautiful little bird that resembles a Western Bluebird in size and color. Lazuli Buntings live in much of the west, over wintering in Mexico, they fly through most of Southern California on their trips back and forth. They prefer brushy opening in light forests or chaparral.

Passerina amoena feeds on small insects or seeds.
