This garden was also installed by Dante
D'Alfonso(who also designed it) Dante used a number of monkey
flowers and sages for fast cover with Ceanothus as the slower long
term fill plants. The soil is beach sand. 
A block of Salvia 'Pozo Blue' along the driveway.
A bird bath was included in the design along a path of native
perennials. Native landscaping should be fun! 
Most native plants love rocks and shredded redwood mulch places on top of the planting. Native landscapes should look native!
