Zigadenus brevibracteatus

Desert Zigadene.

We currently do not grow this plant.

A poisonous perennial bulb from the desert and inner coast ranges of California. Weird looking, weird to grow, weird in the garden. We occasionally grow a few when we're feeling weird. They really have exacting requirements. Rocky ground with crumby soil and full hot, very hot sun.

Zigadenus brevibracteatus tolerates sand.

Zigadenus brevibracteatus's foliage type is stressdeciduous.
Zigadenus brevibracteatus's flower color is yellow.

Communities for Zigadenus brevibracteatus:Creosote Bush Scrub, Joshua Tree Woodland and Pinyon-Juniper Woodland.
