Golden Crowned Sparrow, Zonotrichia atricapilla

What a cool name and what a cool life. The Golden Crowned Sparrow loves small seeds that it finds in the bogs and forest of Western Canada and Alaska in the summer, then wanders down to California and the West Coast during the winter.  Picture sun glasses,  a chaise lounge, a plate of wildflower seeds and a barbecue.
