A small slow growing Yucca that grows from southeastern California through Utah and along the Texas Mexico Border."The large fleshy fruits are an important fruit among the Indians, especially the Navajos who eat them raw or roasted. Often these fruits are dried, ground, and made into small cakes to be used during the winter. Leaf fibers of this species are used in basketry."
